Open translation standards

GMX
GILT Metrics eXchange; defines a standard for specifying the volume, complexity and quality of translation-related tasks (not to be confused with the German freemail service GMX). Maintained by LISA.
  
ITS
Internationalisation Tag Set; provides support for the internationalisation of XML documents, e.g. by marking translateable content directly in the source document. Maintained by the W3C.
  
OLIF
Open Lexicon Interchange Format; defines an XML-based standard for describing lexical/terminological data. Maintained by the OLIF Consortium.
  
SRX
Segmentation Rules eXchange; defines a standard for describing the segmentation rules used by CAT tools and localisation tools. Maintained by LISA.
  
TBX
Term Base eXchange; defines a standard for the representation of terminological data to enable the interchange of term databases between different tools. Maintained by LISA.
  
TMX
Translation Memory eXchange; defines a format for the exchange of translation memories. Maintained by LISA.
