Flow Web Based Translation Workflow and Billing Management. MultiTrans Prism Flow delivers a comprehensive workflow and globalization management solution that provides full control of translation requests and deliveries. It automates the entire end-to-end translation management processes, helps maximize efficiencies and improves translation quality & consistency.
Globalization Management Systems (GMS) Globalization Management Systems (GMS) are enterprise software applications that provide the infrastructure to control the complex process of adapting, translating and maintaining all of a company's content and information (such as corporate documents, databases, enterprise applications, Web sites, manuals, and more). A GMS should meet the challenge of developing, leveraging, and maintaining a multilingual, multinational and multicultural base of enterprise information.
Interoperability Interoperability is a property referring to the ability of diverse systems and organizations to work together. Specifically the ability of systems to exchange data seamlessly.
License Server The License Server allows for the easy management of named or floating licenses directly from within the client environment without a need to connect to the MultiCorpora License Servers.
ListBuilder The ListBuilder is a tool that assists you to automatically pair up your previously translated documents in preparation for creating or appending to a TextBase.
LSP Language Service Provider. A company specialized in providing multilingual services to clients.
Machine Translation Web Services The Machine Translation Connector is designed to integrate third-party Machine Translation systems such as Systran and Prompt into the MultiTrans Prism translation process.
OUTPack OUTpack is a web-based solution that automates the translation process by connecting the translation project request with a translator. OUTpack prepares a translation package that contains everything a translator needs to translate a document in a cost-effective, high quality, and timely manner.
Placeables Terms that do not get translated between source and target text, such as company or product names, or ones that have fixed or predictable translations, such as the names of countries or months. If a placeables TermBase has no translation for a given term, the source term will remain unchanged; if it does have a translation in the target language, then this translation will automatically appear. Placeables can be set not to affect the match levels since they can be replaced automatically. Segments with only differences in placeables will then not appear as fuzzy matches.
Pre-translation Automation & Machine Translation Web Services Integrates into your TMS the ability to automatically replace full and fuzzy segment matches from the TextBase TM, replacing standardized terminology, and identifying sub-segments that have already been translated. For segments not matched in the TM, the Machine Translation Web Service will pull in translation from a MT service.
Saas Software as a service (SaaS) is a model of software deployment whereby a provider licenses an application to customers for use as a service on demand.
SDK MultiTrans Prism Web Services enable seamless multi-system integration with existing content management, workflow or other language processing applications. Through MultiTrans Prism Web Services, many functions can be triggered and managed automatically by existing document management and workflow software applications. These core functions include TextBase TM creation, TextBase maintenance, project analysis and other functions. Web Services are ideal for organizations that wish to automate some of the administrative functionalities.
Security Management Automation Web Services The MultiTrans Prism Security Web Services allows an organization to provide access to its multilingual assets on an as-needed basis, and to revoke those permissions as well.
Tags Tags store software commands, most often metadata or formatting commands. They appear as text within the "<" and ">" characters. When a tagged source file is imported into the XLIFF Editor, the tags are separated from the translatable content, leaving only the content exposed to the translator for the editing process. Work-in progress files are stored in industry-standard XLIFF format. When the translation is finished, the tags are reinserted into the target language file as it is exported back to the source file format, accurately recreating the original document structure.
Team Module The Team Module enables sharing propagation memories on a server in real time. This means that translated segments can be made immediately available to everyone working on a project.
TermBase The TermBase delivers a terminology database of your approved, standardized terms in multiple languages. Remote and local users can access the TermBase to ensure consistent language use for a broad range of projects. As with the TextBases, TermBases can further be segmented by verticals or by categories.
TermBase Web The MultiTrans Prism TermBase Web opens up your sever TermBases to the web to facilitate external collaboration.
TextBase The TextBase Translation Memory delivers instant access to a massive repository of reusable multilingual text segments. Users can view past translations in their original context from within the editor they are using to translate. TextBases can be segmented by verticals or by categories for a more controlled environment.
TextBase Auto-Alignment Scheduler Simply set up the parameters and the Alignment Scheduler will automatically check a particular folder, apply a pre-defined document pairing scheme and add the paired documents to a specified TextBase on a scheduled timeline.
TextBase Builder Web Services Reduce overhead by automating the creation and maintenance TextBase TMs.
TM+ALTM MultiCorpora's description of TextBase TM features that combine all the features of conventional TM with advanced leveraging translation memory technology.
TMX The "Translation Memory eXchange" file format, an industry standard for exchanging translation memory files. The XLIFF Editor supports TMX and TTX (SDL Trados legacy tagged format file) files out-of-the-box with a built-in mapping.

Web Service Software system designed to support interoperable interaction over a network, allowing system component to "talk" to each other over the web
WordAlign WordAlign facilitates the alignment of text at the individual term and expression level.
XLIFF An acronym for XML localization Interchange File Format. It is an XML-based format created to standardize localization. An XLIFF document is composed of one or more files. Each file consists of a source file and the corresponding translation for one language. Translatable content is stored in <trans-unit> elements. The <trans-unit> element holds a <source> element to store the source text, and a <target> element to store the translated text. The non-translatable content, such as document formatting information and metadata, is separated out as tags.
XLIFF Editor The XLIFF Editor is a stand-alone application for editing tagged format files such as MS Office 2007 & 2010, HTML, XML, Adobe® InDesign®, and XLIFF files produced by other tools. By separating the translatable text from formatting commands (preserved as tagged information) and presenting it in a two column source/target format, the XLIFF Editor makes translating complex formats easy.
XML Files Built into the XLIFF Editor is a simple yet sophisticated Mapping Editor that can be used to define and isolate translatable content from surrounding XML code. Use the Mapping Editor to identify elements or attributes that should be translated. Define internal, external, and ignore tags.
